Question: It seems that I read somewhere that if you start taking birth control pills for a couple of months after your last shot, that will get your periods started faster, making you fertile quicker, when you get off the pills.? Anyone heard of this? Answer: Took me at least 18 months to get pregnant after the Depo shot...I was tested and they found that the shot had stopped my body from ovulating...even though you get a period every month does not mean that you are ovulating. I had to take clomid to start ovulation again and conceive my son
